More than just a place to stay.

Courtyard is a family.

“Courtyard helped me adjust from high school to college life seamlessly. It provided a Christian community that was instrumental to my growth during college, and provided many of my best friends, even ten years removed from living there. Courtyard will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Lifelong Friendships

Since 2006, Courtyard’s goal has been to make every resident feel seen and known. Friendships forged here last a lifetime.

Find your people at Courtyard. Through events, retreats, eating meals together, Monday night meetings, doing dishes etc, we really get to know each other.

House events through out the year fill our halls with laughter. Connect Week at the start of fall brings our house together from day one with a shared goal of making our house a safe home for each and every resident. Winter retreats are a time to pull away and spend quality time together.

Coed Community

It can feel lonely moving to a new city and starting classes in a new school can make that even harder. Living in a house with like minded people who are on the same journey makes that transition easier. Having house mates in the same classes as you, walking to and from campus with you, and studying into the late hours alongside you makes all the difference.

Many coming to college look for men’s christian housing or women’s christian housing. But one of our greatest strengths is that we have a community of men and women, together. With both male and female perspectives, conversations are richer. Members of our house learn how to work with people with varying viewpoints. Our house takes care of each other like brothers and sisters, a beautiful picture of the church.

Discipleship

Our goal is to walk alongside students as they are learning what it means to faithfully follow after Jesus. Our students are in a similar place, all trying to figure out what it is that they believe and how they live it out as they attend classes, go to work, and engage with the greater community. We truly love Jesus in our house and are passionate about His people. We look for ways to connect with our neighborhood and invite others to experience the life giving joy and salvation that Jesus offers. Through Bible studies, small groups, late night discussions, and so much more, we navigate together what it means to be fully alive in Christ.

Home

We believe that Courtyard should feel like home! Our cook Lisa makes sure that our meals are delicious and nutritious. As a house, we eat lunch and dinner Monday-Friday in the dining room like a family! We eat well at Courtyard!

“I wasn’t sure I would fit in with all the other residents when I moved into Courtyard. I was a transfer student and had worked for a year to save up money for school, so I was already a few years older than the other students who would be living there. As an introvert, I was also really worried about being surrounded by so many people and not really having space of my own. Courtyard ended up being the perfect place for me. Having so many people around helped me step out of my comfort zone and provided lots of opportunities to connect and be active. I made friends playing intramural sports, working on dish crews, and studying downstairs. I lived at Courtyard for 3 years and loved having so many people that I got to experience college life with. Many of those friends are still in my life almost 10 years later and I am so blessed because of that.”
